According to police, Clark was let go around 2 pm for inappropriate behavior toward the young colleague. By 5 pm, he was back—not to plead for his job, but to unleash violence. The woman was stabbed in the head, hands, and wrist in a hallway, sparking chaos. And this is the part most people miss: a brave chef stepped in to protect her, only to be stabbed in the hip himself as she tried to escape. The ordeal didn’t end there—Clark allegedly pursued her into the dining area, attacking her again in full view of shocked patrons.
It took a group of bystanders to restrain him until police arrived. Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham aptly described it as a "life-altering event" for everyone present. "Those who were physically injured, those who witnessed it—they’ll never forget what happened," he said. The waitress, from Norman Park, underwent surgery and is now stable, while Clark remains in hospital under police guard, charged with attempted murder, unlawful stalking, grievous bodily harm, unlawful wounding, and going armed to cause fear. He’s set to face court on Monday.
The 61-year-old chef, thankfully, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering. The club reopened today, emphasizing its commitment to supporting staff.
