Sharn Davidson, a teacher and mother of three, has lived with Tourette syndrome for most of her life. Her unique form of Tourette's involves making two distinct roaring sounds, which she describes as dinosaur noises. These sounds, named Kevin and Terry by her children and students, are not only amusing but also a way for her to educate others about differences. Sharn's journey with Tourette's began with occasional tics as a child, but a traumatic incident on a freeway at age 21 significantly increased their frequency. It took five years for a doctor to diagnose her with Tourette's, and she has since learned that stress is a trigger for her tics. Despite the challenges, Sharn embraces her condition and uses it to promote diversity in her classroom. She believes that making differences fun and not letting them bother you can help others feel the same way. Sharn's mild form of Tourette's allows her to manage her tics without medication, and she even has tattoos of her dinosaurs, Kevin and Terry, as a symbol of her acceptance and integration of her condition into her life.
